wep key/wap key

i am using compaq laptop,i my laptop, when i open the wireless network connection there is a wireless network connection found.but i can't connect the netwok,the network is asking a wap or wep key.i don't know the key.how to found the wap or wep key.the network connection name is speedTouch50E989.
